DESCRIPTION:

• Dentstal Very Best is a light-curing composite dental restorative material based on BIS GMA resin and 1.40 micron inorganic filler particles. The material is highly aesthetic, X-ray contrast, highly filled, extremely color stable, abrasion resistant and highly polished.
• Dentstal Very Best restorative material is a dense white viscous paste with a slight resinous odor, insoluble in water.

APPLICATION:

This is recommended for Class III and Class V restorations and limited use for Class I and Class IV restorations.

1. Insulation

• Recommended insulation method - coferdam

2. Preparation of the carious cavity

• Clean the tooth with pumice stone and water before preparation. Prepare the cavity with minimal loss of tooth tissue. The edges should have a slight slope on the enamel to increase the area for a stronger bond.

3. Pulp protection

• The bottom of the cavity with a significant deepening should be covered with a thin layer of durable hardening calcium hydroxide material.

4. Etching the enamel

• Apply the digestion solution to the enamel. Be careful when applying the solution to the sloped margins and avoid contact of the acid with the dentin.
• Leave the digestion solution for 20 seconds. For anterior teeth and teeth with a high fluoride content, it is recommended to leave the digestion solution on for 90-120 seconds.
• Rinse off the solution with water for 20 seconds.
• Air dry without moisture and grease. Etched enamel should look like white chalk.

5. Primary Surface / Application

• Apply a thin, uniform top coat of polymer bonding resin to the surface of the etched tooth and expose the photo to the polymer lamp for 15-20 seconds.
• Check the shade of the tooth and select the appropriate VERY BEST shade.
• Apply VERY BEST Photopolymer Composite Paste in the selected shade. Apply the paste without a metal tool. You can use a transparent matrix.

6. Irradiation time

• When choosing lighter shades (Al, A2), irradiate with a photopolymer lamp for 40 seconds.
• For darker shades (A3, A3.5, B1, B2, C1, UO, OA2, OA3), irradiate with a photopolymer lamp for 60 seconds.

7. Final procedures

• Correct the contour with a diamond or abrasive bur, polish with a disc or rubber head.
• Final procedures in the interdental space can be performed with a fine-grained abrasive polishing tape.

WARNING:

• It is extremely important that the etched enamel is not contaminated in any way. If contamination occurs, etch again, rinse with water and dry as described above.
• Avoid contact of the etching solution with oral soft tissues and skin.
• In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, seek medical attention.
• When used correctly, Dentstal Very Best has a shelf life of 3 years when stored at temperatures between +3°C and +24°C.
• Always cap the syringe immediately after application to prevent light curing of the composite.
